Four Trapped After Bus Rolls Between Tirau And Rotorua

Four people are trapped after a bus rolled at Fitzgerald Glade on State Highway 5 between Tirau and Rotorua.

There were 21 passengers on board the minibus when it crashed at 9.30am and emergency services are trying to free those trapped in wreckage.

A woman at a nearby café said three police cars had sped past towards the crash.

It was raining heavily and strong wind gusts were funnelling through the area.

A police northern communications shift manager said the bus was not blocking the road and traffic was flowing freely.
