Earthquake Hits Wellington And Upper South Island

An earthquake measuring 4.7 has been felt in Wellington and parts of the upper South Island including Marlborough.

It comes in the aftermath of the Wellington deluge and storms the hit the city hard this week.

St John's Ambulance tweeted saying "St John has had no reports of injuries or damage from this afternoon’s earthquake near Seddon, felt in Wellington & upper South Island."
