Children Injured In School Bus Crash

A school bus with about 14 children on board has crashed into a power pole near Dannevirke.

Four children suffered injuries in the crash, which happened on Top Grass Rd about 8.20am.

The children have minor injuries and are being checked over by medical staff. The rest have been taken to school. The driver was not injured.

The cause of the crash is not yet known, but there are strong winds in the area with severe weather warnings in place across the North Island.
