According to the judges, this year’s restaurants made the decision particularly tough - because travelling from Dunedin to Waiheke Island trying delicious food sounds just sooooooo awful ...
Here are their top recommendations:
Auckland's Federal St will provide you with Al Brown's Depot and Federal Delicatessen, as well as both Sean Connolly's; The Grill and Gusto.
Sid Sahrawat's award-winning restaurants Cassia and Sidart are also on the list to check out.

Probably the most low key winner went to Satya Chai Lounge, a speakeasy-style craft beer and Indian snacks spot with two locations on Sandringham Rd and K' Rd.
In Havelock North, the perfect summer destination of Black Barn Bistro made was chosen, as well as Queenstown favourite Botswana Butchery.
The top 100 restaurants will be celebrated in the annual Cuisine Good Food Guide with one restaurant crowned the supreme winner on October 15.
