There's a lot of love on This Is Us.
In an appearance on Ellen the NBC show's stars Mandy Moore, Milo Ventimiglia and Sterling K. Brown chat about their critically-acclaimed series, and the familial vibes that linger on- and off-set.
Such was the case this month as Mandy, 33, got engaged to musician Taylor Goldsmith of the indie rock outfit Dawes, as the beauty's on-screen spouse, Ventimiglia, gave his nod of approval to her new fiance, who she's been dating the past two years.
Ventimiglia joked with Ellen, "I didn’t get asked for her hand in marriage, like TV husband, but at the same time, I was okay with it,' delving into the emotional elements that led to their successful romance.
"Taylor is, he's the kindest soul and Mandy, she’s like most beautiful of human beings," said Ventimiglia, who plays Jack Pearson opposite Moore's Rebecca Pearson on the television show. "The two of them coming together is right."
Ventimiglia added that the cast is "all very happy" with the engagement, as Moore explained that her hubby-to-be has "met the whole cast."
She added that "everybody is very close, everyone’s significant others and what-not.
"We’re like one big family. We really are, as cheesy and gross as that sounds, we all really love each other."
The show's Chris Sullivan told Entertainment Tonight earlier this month that Moore revealed the exciting news via a group message to the cast, showcasing her engagement ring.
"She just sent a photo and just wanted us all to know that this just happened, and so then we went on a response spree for about a day and a half," said Sullivan, who gushed with kind words for Mandy's husband-to-be.
"He's quickly becoming one of my favourite people, and he and Mandy are an incredible couple."
Mandy initially was seen with Goldsmith in October of 2015, about nine months after she filed for divorce from now-ex-husband Ryan Adams, who she'd been married to since 2009. The divorce became final in the summer of 2016.
