Jamie Oliver's mum has given him a telling off on social media!

As a father of five, Jamie Oliver has plenty of experience when it comes to parenting.

But it seems the celebrity chef still occasionally needs a reminder from his mother about how best to look after his children.

On Thursday, Jamie, 41, posted a picture on Instagram of his youngest son, seven-month-old River Rocket, grinning while lying on a tiled floor.

But the chef’s mother, Sally Oliver, was quick to point out that the surface was not suitable for a baby.

She wrote: ‘This adorable child! He looks so like you as a baby! But please get him off that hard floor now.’

Other internet users then praised the concerned grandmother for pointing out the hazard to her son, who is also father to Poppy, 15, Daisy, 14, Petal, eight and Buddy, six.

One fan said: ‘Couldn’t agree more with Sally Oliver.’ Another wrote: ‘So glad you said that!!! Poor little mite!!! Come on Jamie!!! Pick him up.’

However, when one man stepped in to defend the celebrity chef, his mother replied: ‘You’re quite right, the floor is very clean and River is very well cared for, I was only teasing Jamie.’
